Well after 2 defeats the U12s got back to winning ways with a comprehensive 19 - 1 win in Newcastle.
The game didn't start exactly to plan as Newcastle opened the scoring after just 39 seconds while short handed!!! However their lead was short lived as just 7 seconds later, Alfie Glenn went straight through from the resulting face off to score a solo effort. Just 13 seconds later, Alfie hit the back of the net again this time with an assist from Louis Wassell. At 02:12 Jodan Gill scored the Bulldogs 3rd goal, assisted by Connor Parkin and Kieran Brown and then Brown scored his first of the evening at 04:47 assisted by Aaran Senior. Charlie Hutchinson scored the Bulldogs 5th goal at 06:39 unassisted and then Louis Wassell scored his first goal for the club at 08:22 with assists from Alfie Glenn and Charlie Hutchinson. Alfie Glenn scored his 3rd and the last goal of the period at 12:31 to give the Bulldogs a 7 - 1 lead at the end of the 1st period.
The second period started slowly untill 19:01 when Alfie Glenn grabbed his 4th of the evening unassisted. 14 seconds later Connor Parking got an unassisted goal to make it 9 - 1. Kieran Brown then scored another two unassisted goals, the 1st at 21:23 and the 2nd at 22:55. Brown then scored again at 25:38 with an assist from Parkin. At 26:25 Alfie Glenn scored with an assist from Zak Wallbridge and Kieran Brown finished the scoring for the second period at 27:15 with an unassisted goal. End of 2nd period Bulldogs lead 14 - 1.
The second period started as the first one finished with an unassisted goal from Kieran Brown at 32:52. Brown then slotted home a penalty shot at 34:55 which was awarded as he was impeded by a stick thrown by a Newcastle defender when through on net. At 37:43 Alfie Glenn scored with assists from Zak Wallbridge and Charlie Hutchinson and at 38:46 Hutchinson scored his second goal unassisted. Kieran Brown finished the scoring at 44:46 to make the final score Bradford 19, Newcastle 1.
The boys played a great game, especially man of the match, Louis Wassell who got his first goal. The result also see Alfie Glenn retake his position as the leagues top point scorer with Kieran Brown moving up to second place, well done boys.
