BRADFORD 6 COVENTRY 2
Struggling to pull 11 players and a coach together, the Christmas Flu Bug had took its toll. Danny Berry stepped in at the last minute and after a mad dash from Manchester managed to lead the clubs Premier Squad to another resounding win.
The first period ended 0:0. With end-to-end solo attempts, solid defending from Coventry and Bradford’s usual too laid back attitude spiced with occasional individual efforts.
4 minutes into the second period "Hard Boy" Butler, assisted by Captain Ashington managed to slot the puck home to open the scoring. 1:0 to Bradford.
6 minutes later and Coventry’s Southall ably assisted by Owen scored Coventry’s first goal and the match was again tied.
Second period ended 1:1. Bradford, still asleep most of the time and now with two injured players on the Bench Harding and Webb.
As usual the “Hockey Alarm” finally went off and Bradford’s most entertaining side came to the third period awake and ready to rumble.
1 minute and 40 seconds in Chav Boy Armitage scored his first of the game assisted by Divi. 2:1 to Bradford. It took just over 2 minutes for the flying Chav from York to do it again. This time sliding on his butt and assisted by Ashington and Ms Glenn. 3:1 to Bradford.
Less than a minute later and Coventry’s Southall managed to score an embarrasingly lucky shorthanded goal to bring the score back to 3:2. By now things were getting physical and a tad dirty at times. However as usual the well disciplined squad from Bradford rose above it all and played to the rules, although it has to be said we never backed down, even Mr Armo was seen doing a good impression of Vinney Jones on the ice.
It was a full three minutes before Bradford found the net again with a solo goal from Jordan Ashington. 4:2 to Bradford.
It took a further 5 minutes till Butler, on the break, slotted his second home and left the score at 5:2 to Bradford.
The final minute of the game saw a pass from Ashington release the might of the usual sleepy Nelson as Willis slotted his first and Bradford’s last goal of the game between the keeper’s legs.
Final Score 6:2 and as usual an excellent entertaining game the club can be proud of.

Children, Children when will you grow up.
I know the U14'S are doing well and the club is very proud of them, but lets put it into context.
The U18 game is so much more advanced, skillfull and much more entertaining than a mere junior game. Although it has to be added they will eventually; it is hoped; mature and improve their skillset over the years to be able to compete as your clubs current "jewel in the crown" U18's currently do.
Happy New year to all our readers.
