The Bulldogs returned to home ice after two tough away games looking to get revenge on Grimsby after there loss a few weeks ago. The first period was a quickfire period with both teams coming out hard. The Grimsby netminder was having a outstanding game until Aaron Dad put the puck away at 17.07. Alex Burgess making his debut got the assit. The second period was a rough and tumble afair with Adam Smith been thrown out of the game for Grimsby. The Bulldogs continued where they left off in the first period when Aaron Dad and Josh Stockton scored two more goals to make it 3-0 at the end of the second period. The third period was all Bulldogs. Matt Viney scored his first of the match at 44.40 with the assits coming from Dean Boothroyd and Alex Burgess. Just over a minute later Viney scored his second with Alex Burgess getting the assit. Jack Oakley then scored a unassited goal at 52.37. Twenty seconds later Alex Burgess scored. Jordan Ashington and Matt Viney getting the assits. Matt Viney then got his hatrick with eleven seconds left with Aaron Dad getting the assit. All in all a good easy win for the Bulldogs over the shortbenched Grimsby team.
