Telford came to Bradford with a side full of experiance and expecting a easy match got the shock of there lives on Sunday night. In an high tempo ill tempered match the Titans took the lead at 01.57. The Bulldogs soon got back level at 06.57 when Aaron Dad scored the goal. The lead did'nt last long as Telford regianed the lead at 08.30. But the Bulldogs got back level with a powerplay goal at 17.32 through Aaron Dad. The first period ended 2-2. The second period started fast and furious. The Titans got the lead back at 20.28. The Bulldogs were soon back level At 23.29 when Matt Viney scored a powerplay with the assits coming from Aaron Dad and Andy Brown. The game then got ugly as Telford decided to rough it up. First of all Andy Brown went toe to toe with Owen Bennett. You could'nt have got a better fight. Both got 2+2 for roughing with Bennett also getting a 10 minute misconduct for instgating. Things got even more heater towards the end of the second period when Matt Viney was sucker punched by Sean Weeks. How Weeks stayed on the ice is quite unbelivable in itself. It was 3-3 after two periods. The third period saw Telford up there game but to the Bulldogs credit they kept Telford at bay. Three quick goals towards the end of the match made the game safe for Telford but they knew that they had been in a game. All in all a great nights entertenment. The Bulldogs scared the life out of a very experianced team and can really forward from this performance. Telford came expecting a easy time so decided to turn to fighting. That's okay as long as it's within the rules. There's no place for sucker punching. I hope the league does something about that.
