Girls HockeyCan someone tell me if girls can play hockey with the boys, if not where is the nearest girls team. both junior and senior. Thanks

Girls playing hockeyHello,
Yes we operate mixed teams. The team I manage, the U16's, this year had 2 girls and the rest were boys. Obviously changing rooms etc are seperate but otherwise they are treated exactly the same. Two of our girls play for another all "ladies" team as well and One of our girls plays for the GB "ladies" squad.We are always on the look out for new members, especially girls / ladies.
If you need more information then come down to the rink this wednesday evening there is a committee meeting scheduled so there will be plenty of qualified people to give you advice and tell you what the club has to offer. I will be there from about 7-30pm onwards and could introduce you ito some of our girls/ladies who I know will be training.
although our GB girl will be playing U18's next year it is unusual for girls to play in the senior teams with the men. I think by then they opt for an all girls side, less physical but they can still curse!
