Sunday night brought together Bradford and Manchester for the 2nd Paul Fox memorial game. Both teams put on a thrilling game which no doubt Paul fox would have enjoyed. Things started well for the Bulldogs when Michael Fletcher scored from a Jack Oakley pass at 04.01. A powerplay goal at 11.36 from Alex Burgess drew Manchester level. Bullgod regained the lead at 26.15 when Steve Bulter scored on his senior debut. Sean Day and Andy Brown getting the assits. The Bulldogs increased there lead at 29.53 when Josh Stockon scored a cracker of a goal from a Gavin Penn pass. Manchester hit back though when ex storm player Brain Worrall scord. They then drew level when Jake Nurse bundled the puck home with John Murray getting the assit. Manchester then took the lead through Mike Townsend with Russ Richardson getting the assit. Rick Ravey put Manchester further ahead from a brillant pass from Robyn Crebbin. But with six minutes left Andy Brown slotted the puck home to set up a grandstand finish. Chris Johnson and Gavin Penn getting the assits. Despite constant Bulldogs persure Manchester held out for the victory and meant keeping hold of the stunning trophy. A fitting game for a fitting cause. Both teams can now look ahead to next season when they will face each other four times in English League North B.
