U12s v NewcastleThe U12s had another great performance beating Newcastle 10 - 1 which put them back at the top of the league!
The game started well for the Bulldogs and at 3:40 Alfie Glenn scored the opening goal while on the powerplay. Just 22 seconds later, Jordan Gill scored his first goal for the club to double the Bulldogs lead. Newcastle got a goal back at 4:44 when a managerial error had made a line change which was unsanctioned by the coach!!! (The managers will be reprimanded on Wednesday)
At 6:29 Kieran Brown got the game back on track with a goal assisted by Alfie Glenn and then scored again at 10:03 unassisted. Alfie Glenn scored the last goal of the period unassisted at 12:23. 5 - 1 at the end of the first.
The second period got off to a flyer with two goals in the first minute. Alfie Glenn got the first after just 12 seconds and then Kieran Brown scored at 20:46. Charlie Marsden scored the 8th goal at 22:37 and then George-Harry Thornton got his first goal for the club at 22:40 with a double assist from Kieran Brown and Connor Parking. The Bulldogs then forgot where the back of the net was, only posting one more goal in the final 17 minutes of play which was another George-Harry Thornton goal at 31:21 assisted by Kieran Brown.
A good performance boys, however, we could have easily posted over 20 goals if we had moved the puck better. Lets start to pass the puck like we do in training and get ready for next week against Manchester.
