U16 BRADFORD V SHEFFIELDBRADFORD 8 SHEFFIELD 3 
Two mins into the game Leigh Marrow managed to convert a pass from Johnny Fruin into the first goal of the game and Bradford were 1 - 0 in the lead.
Leigh then picked up a tripping penalty leaving Bradford defending 5 on 4 for 2 mins. at 3:24 Sheffield managed to sneak one past Matt with a one two from the Batson Brothers giving Sheffield their first power play goal of the game.
Not to be dismayed, Leigh Made up for his previous penalty at 10:30 firing a blistering shot into the back of the net from the blue line. Bradford were now 2 - 1 up.
After a hooking penalty on Sheffield at 12:07 Bradford were on the power play and within 5 seconds Steven Butler managed to sneak a goal from the blue line leaving Bradford 3 – 1 up. The score stayed the same as the teams went in at the end of the first period.
The second period saw Sheffield come out with renewed vigour Bradford being shorthanded from an Armo penalty at the end of the first. Within 30 seconds Batson had scored his second shorthanded goal from a 4 on 1 situation. Sheffield were very good a dropping a man back and they had a couple of very fast skaters on the front line, not as fast as Al though.
The score stayed at 3 – 2 for at least 3 and a half mins till Al Laville played a pass on to Chris Armo who managed to get Bradford’s 4th goal leaving the score at 4 – 2 to Bradford. Within 9 seconds Leigh had found the back of the net again for his hat trick and Bradford’s 5th goal.
6 mins later saw Bradford on another penalty and defending in a 5 on 4 situation. Not to be deterred Leigh split the Sheffield defence and played a wonderful deke on the goalie to slot his 4th goal home. The period ended 6 – 2 to Bradford, however the game was much closer than the score line suggested, Bradford’s goalie Matt ‘The Mutt’ Leeming having to pull out some better than average saves against Sheffield on the break.
The third period saw a change of goalies for both teams; Connor stepped in the net for Bradford and made some good saves 1 on 1 to keep Sheffield off the scoreboard for most of the period. 10 mins into the period saw a power play goal from Al Laville assisted by Ben Flan and Chris Armo. 10 seconds later the favour was returned with Chris Armo scoring from a Laville assist. The score stood at 8 – 2 with less than 5 mins to play. With less than 3 mins to go Butler got called for a holding penalty, this gave Sheffield the power play advantage and Batson scored his 3rd hat trick goal for Sheffield. The final score was Sheffield 3 Bradford 8.
