The bulldogs came into this match after a run of 4 losses to teams above us in the table only to come up against the team in 3rd place. There was nothing between the teams in an exciting first period with both sides swapping gaols every couple of minutes. Alex Laville scored an early goal for the Bulldogs on 2 minutes which started the exchange of goals.
Solihull's at 6.42 was answered by Jordan Ashington with a slapshot from the blue line 12 seconds later. Josh Stockton's powerplay goal at 10:30 was answered by 2 goals for Solihull at 30 second intervals. Alex Laville's goal one minute later was matched by Solihull within a minute, the game continued end-to-end for the second half of the first period with a goal by Jack Muff tying the score at 5 all. But Solihull scored with seconds to go
First Period Bradford 5 Solihull 6

Alex Osmond replaced Rob Parker in the Bradford net at the start of the Second, and it looked like the defence of both sides had been given a polite chat as the flow of goals was stemmed. The play seemed fairly even with both sides having good chances but Solihull manged to convert 3 of theirs while the Bulldogs could only reply with one from Josh Stockton.
Second Period Bradford 6 Solihull 9

The Bulldogs started the third period strongly with all the players skating hard to win 50-50 pucks and looked like they thought they could pull back the deficit, but the short bench and tired legs led to easy breakaways for Solihull who scored 6 in this period.With Josh Stockton scoring 2 for the Bulldogs.

The final score doesn't really reflect on the standard of hockey played, although Solihull converted more of their chances then Bradford . At least we can come away having scored as many in this match as in the last 3 put together. We'll see how we do with our next match away at Solihull.
