Rec team train Wednesday Evenings from 10-30pm onwards.
In reply to your other questions, although we have no direct connection with the rec team I have seen them on various occasions and even watched them "play"once.
Anybody play?
If you can standup (when sober) have at least one leg to fit a skate on and profanities trip naturally off the tongue then you're in.
Kit don't worry if your kit is old and worn, the older the better. In fact if you have no kit don't worry the rec team will "borrow" you some out the Bulldogs room, you don't even have to return it from where you got it!
Cost?
Can't be much. I have never seen such a tight bunch of "people". Can't see any of them spending more than 3 Bob a week ( plus 2% bulldogs equipment repair tax).
I believe they have their own website it's available as a link from bihc.org.
Although it's probably written in Ye Old English.
Good Luck and watch your pockets!
An unbiased observer.
I believe Helen Gardiner, assistant manager, can be trusted and she can be contacted on:

Sorry to disappoint:
1. I never managed to skate well enough to play for the bulldogs, so I'm sure you wouldn't want lessons from me, unless you want to be a brickie.
2. A bit of obvious light banter about the Rec Team; Of whom I have some regard ( did I just say that?); doesn't constitute "slagging off" it just fills out the forum, keeps them on their toes and is a bit of free advertising for them. I trust the information I gave you was actually useful.
3. To set the record straight I think you'll find the core of the rec team are ex bulldogs, not past their sell by date but just unable to commit the time to compete in a top flight team, like the bulldogs, any more. |

On those two points we will have to agree to disagree.
