Trials for the Bulldogs

I'd like to try out for the bulldogs, I was wondering if any trials are going to be held or if I could come along to training soon?

i can't believe i got gassed from the trials guys, i guess im just not as good as i used to be. i do agree though i got shown up big time by all the other players.

Looks like another two defeats coming up this weekend... Anyone got an idea when the Bulldogs are going to win a game?

Well Tom, I remember that you asked about coming for a trial at the beginning of this season but I don't seem to remember meeting you.
If you still want to come down for a try out, and would like to become part of the Senior bulldogs, then your very welcome to come down.

We all acknowledge that things aren't exactly going to plan so far this season. I have some talented players on this team, most of them are very committed to the team. However, without a full squad of committed players the rest of the lads are always going to struggle. It's very hard watching them go out week in week out and knowing that they are being let down by certain members of the team. Over the years, Bradford as sent out some very talented players, some of these have made it to professional level, and to national level.

I get very angry when I see and hear comments made about the standard of this team. If people are wanting to help the Bulldogs play on a level footing with the "big boys" then we need to see support and encouragement from supporters. If players are looking at the Bulldogs and saying to themselves, I want to play but I'm not going there they always loose - who's the biggest looser the team or the player that could play a part in building a successful team. We have been around for many years,(and God willing we will be for many more) but unfortunately we've got caught in a bit of a rut. We will get out of this and with the determination and commitment of our players and coaches we will turn things round. So unless you feel that you have something to offer this team in way of encouragement, I suggest you keep your comments to yourself - but if you want to be part of building a winning team, then put your skates on and come for that try out!

Yvonne, I completely appreciate your point, and I’m not usually one to sink to such childish actions. However, my remark was more aimed at a comment made after my initiate post (and trials) that I felt was pretty harsh...
Anyway, I’m not looking for a team, I play for Manchester and I’m doing alright this season. I guess I’m glad that I never got selected for Bradford because what we have going in Manchester is on the ‘up’. But I think that unprofessional actions by certain people might not give much incentive for new players to try out?
